“What problem are we trying to solve? “
I found out in my first job post-University that I LOVE to close a deal. In addition, I have always had a passion for all things global – languages, cultures, and especially doing business globally. I find that having “perspective,” which comes from really experiencing other cultures and ways of doing business, opens your mind and makes you more creative and accepting of new ideas. I have combined this passion with cutting-edge tech, and I have usually been selling or marketing something extremely new and often not-yet-adopted – AR/VR/Metaverse, AI-based robotics, Gaming IP, and even new photography technology. The resulting combination of loving to be with customers, driving business globally, and bringing new tech to market has resulted in a very diverse background that I love to bring to start-ups.
On the look out for
I love the challenges of growth so I seek companies that have the ability to scale, especially those leveraging AI or Metaverse technologies, where I have spent the last 10 years. I have a fairly unique background in hardware, so those companies that get passed over for not being a SaaS company are still very interesting to me. I have sold small gaming accessories and million-dollar robots as well as Saas solutions, so I welcome companies with a solution set that may also include hardware. I am passionate about through-partner channels, which can provide tremendous scale for the right product.
